Vooz chat · random text chat
Vooz chat pairs you with one stranger and a blank message box. Type first, get a feel for the person, and save the camera for the nights you actually want it.

Chapter 01
for the nights you would rather not be on camera
A lot of people who search for vooz chat are after the simplest version of talking to a stranger: a blank message box and someone real on the other end. Vooz keeps that version front and center. Choose text on the start screen, press start, and a random match lands in a private thread with you. The camera light never switches on.
Typing first takes the pressure off. You can read the other person for a minute, figure out whether the jokes land, and decide how much you want to share. Nobody sees your room, your hair or the fact that you are still in bed. For plenty of Vooz members that is the best part of the evening.
Chapter 02
a name card, not a résumé
When a Vooz chat connects, the card at the top names their nickname, age and country, along with a level and the language they speak. That is enough to open with something better than "hi", like asking about the weather in Manila or whether they stayed up for the match last night. It is not enough to find anyone offline, and that balance is deliberate.
Your own card works the same way. Choose a nickname that exists only on Vooz, and leave your surname, your job and your social accounts for much later, if ever. The safety guide for Vooz goes further into what to share and when.
Chapter 03
faces are one setting away
Some text chats run out after three lines. Others go well enough that you start wondering what the person sounds like. The mode you pick on the start screen decides how each match begins, so when you are in the mood for faces, back out, choose video and press start again. Your next match opens on camera, and the Vooz video call guide covers that side in full.
If the person you have been typing with is the one you want to see, ask them. Sign in, follow each other, and keep talking in messages, where the two of you can agree on a time and a mode that suits you both. A quick "want to try video?" leaves room for not yet, and next stays available if the answer never changes.
Chapter 04
the translate button does the heavy lifting
Random text chat gets more interesting when the match lives on another continent. On Vooz, each message you type comes with a translate button, so a sentence written in Spanish, Portuguese or Vietnamese can appear in English on your side with one tap. It is not perfect, and slang still gets lost, but it keeps the conversation moving instead of stalling at the first unfamiliar word.
That same button is why so many people use Vooz to practice a language with real people. You write in the language you are learning, peek at the translation when you get stuck, and the person on the other end corrects you the way a friend would.
Chapter 05
no rooms, no crowd, no audience
Vooz chat is one-to-one. There are no public rooms to scroll, no group threads and no strangers joining halfway through. That makes it quieter than a chat room, and it also makes each match count for more: the person replying is replying to you.
If you meet someone you want to talk to again, sign in. Accounts on Vooz come with a profile, follows and messages, so a conversation you enjoyed can carry on after one of you taps next. Your coin balance and settings travel with the account as well, which is covered in more detail in how Vooz works.
Curious who runs the place and why it was built this way? The about Vooz page tells that story in plain words.
Worth knowingGuests can start a text chat straight away. Signing in is optional, and only matters when you want your follows, messages and balance to stay with you across devices.

Yes. Set the mode to text ahead of pressing start, and that match stays typed messages only. Nothing ever turns your camera on for you.
You can start without paying. The first batch of matches is free for newcomers, and the Reward Center refills them whenever its timer finishes. Coins only matter once those run out, or for extras such as private calls.
Open Vooz in your browser, choose the text mode, and press start. A stranger joins the thread within moments, and next finds you someone new.
No. Every Vooz chat is a private thread for exactly two. There are no public or group chat rooms, though live streams do have a room chat you can join.
Yes, by changing the mode on the start screen, which puts your next match on camera. To keep talking with one particular person, sign in and follow them so you can message them.
Typed messages carry a translate button. Tap it and the message shows up in your language, which makes chatting with someone abroad much easier.
If you are signed in, you can follow people and send messages, so a good match does not vanish when one of you taps next.
You are on Vooz, and the text chat described here runs in your browser at vooz.video. There is nothing extra to install.
You choose a nickname and share only what you type. Vooz still keeps account and safety records, so treat it as private rather than invisible, and keep identifying details to yourself.
